STORY MAPPING

Story mapping is the mapping of stories in the geographical places where they developed or were conceived. Most often “spirit of place” (genius loci) has inspired myths and legends, and the creative spirits which conceived them.
Stories shown on a map are more comprehensible, entertaining and educational; they reveal psychological and cultural relationships.
Story mapping helps to change the way people see their world: not just literal and functional, but also allegoric and poetic.

Paraphrasing James Robertson: We need to use the world imaginatively, to reassess and repossess it imaginatively; to suggest that many worlds might exist within its geographical bounds.
